On April 18th, the Wednesday before I was going in to be induced, I went to my last doctors appointment. My doctor took a while to find the baby's heartbeat. I started getting really worried and the look on my doctors face I could tell he was worried too. Finally he found it and when he did he noticed that her heart was skipping a beat. He said he wasn't to concerned because he said most the time it just corrects itself. He said in the hospital she'll just be watched a little closer. The night Drew was born I had her in my room until about midnight then the nurse came and took her to the nursery. They were keeping her in there because of her heartbeat and because I had Strep b. At 3:00am the pediatrician came in my room to tell me that Drew was going to the NBIC cause her oxygen level dropped to 78. So the whole time I was in the hospital she was in the NBIC. One of the nurses that took care of her told me that she thought Drew was a false alarm, but the just had to make sure she was gonna be okay.
