B-B-Q with DUST

The night after Dustin got home 5/15, we all got together at my parent's house for a B-B-Q. Everyone was so excited to hang with him and hear all of his stories. It is so fun having Dustin home again and the good thing is, he is exactly the same. He is not weird like most missionaries are when they get home! Dustin has the BEST personality and he is such a cutie! He's a catch for any GAL!!! Welcome Home Dust, we're glad to have you back!!!

Welcome Home Elder Dorris

On May 14th at 11:00 p.m. my whole family made our way to the airport for the special arrival of Elder Dustin Dorris! Dustin is the oldest grandchild/ nephew in our family. He served his mission in Spain. I can't believe how fast 2 years went!!
All the kiddos that stayed up for the the big event. My kids were at home in bed and so was their dad!!
Alex made this cute poster for Dustin. It is supposed to be a werewolf!
The wait for all of us was really hard. Of course the missionaries had to be the last ones off the plane. When we finally saw Dustin at 12:15 a.m. we all were going crazy. With the group we had it was pretty loud!
And there he finally was!!!!
(Dustin & Papa) This is probably one of the sweetest pictures I have ever seen. Natalie took this one (way to capture the feelings in that moment!)

When I hugged Dustin his whole body was shaking. He told me sorry cause his knees were knocking! He was so excited he couldn't stand it & we felt the same!!

Mission Accomplished!!

WHEELER FARM

Last Tuesday 5/12 Brinley had her last field trip of the year at Wheeler Farm. It was a perfect day to be outside. All the kids had a fun time seeing all the cute animals!
Meet Cliff our tour guide. It was a dang good thing he wore his Blue Blockers with it being a sunny day and all!!Brinley & Keegan kept chasing the geese and the geese did not like it!
This goat was hilarious! Every time Brinley would touch it, it would throw his head back like he was gonna bite her.

"IT"Happens

This is our playroom! Just a nice, messy, normal playroom! Well this is how is usually looks. Until last Monday 5/11, that's when everything changed!!!Yes, water!!! Let me tell the great story. First of all it was one of the worst days I have had in a long time. The first thing was when I was talking to my mom, my phone was not working right, then eventually later it would not even come on. Then later I had to go down our stairs to grab something and the baby gate was up so I tried stepping over it and slipped and fell on my butt and down the stairs I went. At 1:45 p.m. Alex calls and I knew he was getting out early but I forgot it was just 1st & 2nd D track not all the kids on D track. My neighbor Laurel picks him up every day and her kids are on D track also, so I was thinking she was getting him from school, but I forgot it was just 1st & 2nd grade. So I had to wake Chesnie up from her nap and go get my forgotten child! So then later at 6:30 p.m. is when the day really began. I went down stairs cause I heard my Uncle Steve come in so I went to say Hi and I couldn't find him so I headed back upstairs and I heard something in the playroom. I thought to myself "is Uncle Steve in the playroom?" So I looked in there and there it was. We were leaking. It was coming from the ceiling and running down the wall. So I called Luke. Him & Alex were at baseball practice and I told him he needed do come home cause we had a problem. He got home and started moving everything out into the living room and cut into the wall & ceiling to find the problem. It ended up being the pipe going to the hose out front. It had froze this winter and burst. So then I called our insurance guy, this is when it pays to have home owners insurance. A clean up guy was sent out at 10:00 p.m. He cleaned a few things up & right away put fans in the room to dry it out. Then left at 12:30p.m. What a mess! The insurance company gave us $1900 to fix the damages and hopefully we will have our playroom up and running soon!! Let's hope "IT" NEVER happens again!!!
Here is the little Jerk that made the mess!

10 MONTHS

My little sweetheart actually turned 11 months yesterday, but I'm behind so I'm doing her 10th month. Chesnie did alot this month. I swear over night she turned into a little person and she's no longer a tiny baby anymore. This is all the new things she did: 4/20 said Hi, 4/26 clapped, 4/29 her top left tooth started coming in, 4/30 said Uh, Oh, 5/1 started crawling, & 5/13 her top right tooth started coming in, so she has 4 teeth now! Everyday she gets faster & does more & more. I love my Baby!!!

Dancin' at Lagoon

On Saturday we went to Lagoon for the Dance Championships. Brinley had been waiting for this day for months. At first when we got there I didn't think Brinley would get up on stage. First she was throwing a fit cause her ballet shoes were to tight, then she was complaining about the itchy tu-tu and then only 2 girls from her group showed up so I thought for sure she wouldn't get up there cause she wouldn't be able to hide in the back. She surprised us all though and went up there and did so good. She followed the teacher good and never once even tried to cry and there was a ton of people watching. I was so proud of her. Brinley is extremely shy and for her to do that it is huge! Dance has been the best thing for her. It has totally brought her out of her shell! It was so cute and I'm so excited for her next recitals!
Feelin a little nervous & hating the itchy tu-tu Waiting to go onThey all were trying so hard to follow Stephanie(the dance teacher) but somehow they all ended up in different positions. It was still so cute though!
